The decision to create a fantasy action game is the
result of the desire to envision something that
is wholly different from the world we have come to

■Story
Cursed by the curse of blood magic, Corwin, a high
school student, has come to believe that his classmates are immortal. While looking after his dog and doing
homework, he comes across the incorporeal form of a
stranger, who explains the existence of a fantasy world
called the Lands Between. As the otherworldly
cataclysm rages, the people of mortal nations
struggle to survive in a world where magical
monsters arise from the chaos caused by war.

It’s no secret that I love soccer. I get up in the early am, listen to the football games all day long, and wake up with each morning with enough caffeine to start the day! Now that Fall is here, this is a great time of year to spend time outdoors. There are several soccer events all over the city during the upcoming weeks. Below are just a few of them.
Last weekend, my daughter and I went to our local MLS game. We ate some of the best wings I have ever eaten and went on a field trip with some of our favorite college students. The weather was a great equalizer. It was a bit windy that day, but we were still able to enjoy. The game was pretty crazy, with 3 goals going in the last 5 minutes!
On Thursday, November 28, at the Ronald Reagan Sports Complex, there will be a youth (9-12) soccer tournament. The field will be at 9:30 a.m. and games will begin at 10 a.m. Admission is $5. Go to www.thesoccertournament.com for more information and to register.
The 11th annual Pre-Tournament Gala will take place Saturday evening (Nov. 30) from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Coliseum at Reno Events Center.

I am taking a few weeks to work and spend some time with my family, including a few shows at ArtsQuest in the works. The first is on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a second show on Nov. 27 at 2:30 p.m.

In this post, I am going to discuss the topic of how we manage our lives as writers – and whether or not we think that we need to manage it.
I never set out to write a book. It just sort of happened.
It just sort of happened that I sat down one day and started writing a book. In fact, it was just over twelve years ago. I was a journalism student at Edinburgh University, and it was a chance conversation with one of my friends about seeing the Best Picture winner at the time, Brokeback Mountain, that inspired me to start writing a book about the experience of being gay in a Mormon Family. I found it so fascinating that I knew I would love to share it with others, and I wanted to learn the legalities of the film and the book, and be able to explain them to people who don’t know.
Since that conversation, I’ve been thinking about what it means to have a life as a writer, and having a family.
If writing is something that you do all the time, and is a part of you, and you feel at home with it, and it feels natural, then you can write without having to manage anything.
I remember when I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, I thought I was going to be a newspaper reporter for the whole, entire next year. And then I started feeling the pressure. I didn’t want to leave my mom and dad, and my sister and my dog, with nothing to read, and I didn’t want to go back to school just so I could do my first job at a newspaper.
